[edit] Manually Creating A Customer Account

Customers can create their own customer accounts online, either before they make an order, or during the checkout process. Admins can also create a customer account for a customer via the admin section. This facilites admins helping customers who might have had troubles making their own customer account, for phone orders when the customer wants to place and complete an order over the phone, or for any other transaction not made over the website.
To create a customer account, like the Insert New Customer link on the admin index page. You will be taken to a form where you enter the customer's details (including name, email address, shipping address, etc). Upon successfully completing the submitting the form, the customer's account will be created and can then be used to make orders by the customer or by the admin in the create order admin section.
