[edit] View / Update / Ban Customer Account

Existing customer accounts can be viewed, updated and banned or unbanned all view the admin section. Customer accounts can be viewed by searching for a customer in the search customer accounts search on the admin index page, or by clicking the view recent customer accounts, or by clicking Customer Orders button on a order's orderstatus page.

  • View Customer - on the view customer page, you see the full customer account details, a list of all orders made by that customer account, as well buttons to update customer, update their banned status, and create new order for that customer account (discussed in the Creating Orders help section).
  • Update / Edit Customer - in the update customer page, you will see all the account's details displayed in an editable form. Edit one or many fields and click submit. The changes are saved to the customer account.
  • Update Banned Status - the update banned status page shows the customer's current banned or unbanned status (all accounts are not-banned by default). Click the button to change the status from banned to unbanned, or vice-versa, depending on current banned status. When a customer tries to login to a banned account, they are not logged in and are redirected to the Banned.php page (/script root directory/accounts/Banned.php). Since they cannot login, banned customers are prevented from making or completing orders.

Tip: never delete a customer account - banning an account prevents them from simply making a new account with the same email address.
